Bicep: One of the Hottest Electronic Names of the Time is Coming to Denmark
The English electronic duo is flexing their muscles for a spectacular concert as they take over TAP1 in Copenhagen, as part of the festival concept Department, on Friday, October 20th.
Bicep has recently been hailed by the BBC as “one of the biggest names in UK dance.” The Belfast-born, now London-based duo, consisting of childhood friends Matt McBriar & Andy Ferguson, have no intention of slowing down in their journey to solidify themselves as one of the most defining global electronic acts of recent times.
Their latest single, “Water,” from 2022 followed a year in which nearly 1 million people witnessed Bicep live, including headline performances at Glastonbury – where they closed the festival’s second-largest stage with a legendary televised show – as well as at Primavera (Barcelona and L.A.), Parklife, Wide Awake, AVA, and Field Day
The duo released their highly anticipated second studio album, “Isles,” in January 2021. The album received praise from music critics and fans far and wide, described as “a tour de force of neon euphoria” (Resident Advisor), “brimming with restless energy” (Evening Standard), “one of the defining dance music albums of 2021” (Mixmag), “intricate, moody, nostalgic, introspective and emotional” (Billboard), and was The Guardian’s Album of The Week. It debuted at #2 on the UK album chart and #1 on the UK vinyl album chart, earning the duo two nominations for the BRIT Awards as Best British Group & Breakthrough Act.
The album also brought them to Denmark the same year, where they delivered two wild concerts at Store VEGA. This autumn, Bicep is ready to once again invigorate our dance muscles as they take over TAP1 in Copenhagen as part of the Department festival concept.
