Sex Pistols feat. Frank Carter coming to Copenhagen to mark 50 years of PUNK
SEX PISTOLS (Steve Jones, Paul Cook, Glen Matlock) take the stage at TAP1 in Copenhagen on November 28, 2026, for the band’s first Danish concert in 30 years.
The show is part of the celebration marking 50 years since the Sex Pistols set the music landscape ablaze and became a defining force in punk history. The timing is no coincidence: November 26 marks exactly 50 years since ‘Anarchy In The UK’ was released.
In 1976, the track landed like a cultural bomb across Great Britain. Hitting at a time defined by economic crisis and growing unrest, it ignited an entire generation and helped change music forever. With its uncompromising energy, provocative attitude, and raw sound, ‘Anarchy In The UK’ became a symbol for a generation that refused to accept the status quo.
As drummer and co-founder Paul Cook says: “With Anarchy, I think we tapped into a feeling of unrest around the country at the time. The message was pretty simple – just have a go and get out there and do whatever you want to do. It was a new world.” 50 years later, the songs live on—and the Sex Pistols are back on stage with the fiery and energetic Frank Carter as frontman.
Guitarist Steve Jones describes their current live form as stronger than ever: “We’re having a blast – we’re like a well-oiled machine right now – and it’s been incredible to get out there with these songs we wrote 50 years ago. We love it. Frank’s a great frontman and really gets the crowd going. Every person in the audience loves these songs as much as we do and it’s an absolute pleasure to get out there and play them.”
Original members Steve Jones, Paul Cook, and Glen Matlock guarantee the musical legacy, and with Frank Carter leading the charge, the Copenhagen concert offers a chance to experience some of punk’s most iconic tracks live—from ‘Anarchy In The UK’ and ‘God Save The Queen’ to ‘Pretty Vacant’ and ‘Holidays In The Sun’. The band has only visited Denmark twice before, in 1977 and 1996, making this a truly historic evening.
Sex Pistols feat. Frank Carter – TAP1, Copenhagen – November 28, 2026. 50 years after ‘Anarchy In The UK’ changed the world, there is still something to rebel against.
Support will be provided by fresh British punk acts (to be announced soon), underlining that punk remains alive and vital in 2026!
The show is the band’s only performance on the European mainland.
